League Overview
The Atlanta Aces 6’s League brings a fast-paced, fun, and highly developmental lacrosse experience to players in the Marietta and Cobb Metro area. This small-sided league offers more touches, quicker decision-making, and high-rep gameplay—perfect for new and experienced players alike.
Why 6’s Lacrosse?
- Fast & Fun: Small-field, high-scoring games keep players constantly engaged.
- More Touches: Fewer players per team = more reps, more learning, more fun.
- Goalie Optional: We welcome goalies in this format, but will use Hectors (mini-goals) as needed to ensure consistent play and flexibility each week.
- Flexible Setup: Great for any surface—grass or turf.
- Year-Round Ready: Great as an off-season format for continuous development.
League Structure
Divisions
- Elementary Division (3rd–5th Grade)
Focused on fundamentals, fun, and building love for the game. - Middle School Division (6th–8th Grade)
Separate developmental and competitive options available.
(Competitive divisions may include goalies.)
Session Format
- Fall Season: 6 sessions total (Wednesdays only)
- Each session = 90 minutes
Game Format
- 6v6 play (5 field players + 1 goalie or Hector goal)
- Small-sided field (approx. 50x30 yards)
- Games: 2 x 12-minute halves
- Weekly team assignments for balanced, competitive matchups
Development-Focused Design
- Group Training: All players train together to foster community and consistent coaching.
- Stations & Rotation: Coaches will run skill stations for stickwork, shooting, defense, and IQ-building drills.
- Flexible Rosters: Teams change weekly to mix skill levels and create new playing experiences.
- High Reps, Low Pressure: Quick transitions, fast play, and lots of ball movement = accelerated development.
